A record 11 teams enter the NCAA Tournament with a win percentage of less than .600. I feel that the NCAA Tournament is at its best with the current format and field, as expanding to 96 teams will bring more modest teams into the Big Dance. Isn’t that what the NIT, CBI and CIT offer? A chance for more teams to play in a postseason tournament, but not the top 20% of teams in the nation? Reward the best from each conference and the remaining quality teams and keep the NCAA Tournament as is – the greatest sporting event in the world.

Dayton at College of Charleston -5.5 O/U 142.5
Big move upward on the total as College of Charleston plays the defending NIT champion Dayton Flyers. Charleston lost the Southern League championship game after winning the regular season title, but don’t be deterred thinking they will be disappointed

PartyGaming revenue on the rise

gaming news on PartyGaming
. Note that PartyGaming is expected to complete the merger with online sports betting site BWIN later this month with shares of the merger available March 31st. Back in February, PartyGaming signed a deal with an
unknown US Casino group
in anticipation of legalized online poker.
PartyGaming, which one of the industry’s giants, has reported an increase of 15% above last year’s numbers. The site, which includes sports betting, poker and bingo, and online casino games, has been able to bring in, in 2010, €357.3 million (US$498 million), in comparison to the €310.1 million (US$432 million) during the previous year.

Wednesday was a profit-producing night despite a pair of over/under defeats as we went 5-1 on CBB sides 6-3 overall on the hardwood and continued our solid late-season run. Our CBB situationals involving last home games (LHG), second meets and other motivational and situational parameters are integrated with the match-up analysis to produce more winners as the regular season winds down and tournament season begins.
The closing weeks of the regular season and tournament time are often met with resistance and struggles for many handicappers. But with our profits down the stretch capped by our 20* College Basketball Game of the Year and 20* College Basketball Underdog Game of the Year winners in the books the past two week’s, we’ll try to improve on our top-rated Big Drive’s and produce more profit as tournament season begins.

The Nets have increased their scoring in two games with Williams (96 and 108 points) after averaging 92 ppg this season, but allowed 106 and 123 points. Head coach Avery Johnson said the performances were because of a "lack of chemistry in the team and the fact the team hasn’t had a chance to practice since the trade was made."
The Nets travel to London Wednesday to prepare for two games against the Toronto Raptors next weekend.
New Jersey was off Sunday, so the new starting five — and the two other new players the Nets acquired last week, Dan Gadzuric and Brandan Wright — won’t get a chance to practice together until Wednesday in

We cashed our
College Basketball Game of the Year
winner yesterday as the Creighton Bluejays delivered a solid 63-55 win over Northern Iowa in their last home game. Combined with our Underdog Game of the Year winner on Indiana State outright over Northern Iowa, we’ve found our groove the past week with a pair of big winners in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Sunday provides more opportunities with teams playing in their last home game, and I’ve listed those teams below.
Note from our blog yesterday
that winning teams playing their last home game with same season revenge went 8-1 ATS. We went a perfect 3-0 on those selections Saturday with winners on Creighton, UCLA and Akron.

know we often discuss the importance of home court in college basketball, and mention how teams perform with a home/road dichotomy. I’ve written about this in past seasons, yet understanding home court advantage and the situations surrounding the current contests is important in helping you isolate winners. While the oddsmakers factor home court into the pointspread, there are teams who still perform much better on their home floor.
Understanding player strengths and match-ups, team chemistry, current form and statistical performance both home and away is part of breaking down a game. Supporting fans and a comfortable surrounding should only help the home team perform better. Along with good coaching and preparation, players can become more consistent in their play and performance when having to take to the road in hostile environments. passed along some news and notes for tonight's game: UNLV travels to Fort Worth to take on TCU as the Horned Frogs play their fourth-straight game without suspended guard and leading scorer Ronnie Moss. But UNLV's scoring struggles are a concern, and the Rebels are on a 0-5 ATS run and just 1-3 ATS on the road in conference play. TCU has lost six-straight games and 10 of its last 11 (4-7 ATS). Since UNLV's home blowout over TCU 83-49 on January 8, the Rebels have scored 67 points or less in six of seven games.
