For those who like to study the intricacies of football fundamentals then this is for you. This is by far the
most detailed piece you’ll find on the ever growing college football fad that is the “Air Raid” offense. I love the fact that it includes the pass happy founding fathers Sid Gillman, “Air Coryell” and LaVell Edwards BYU teams all of which I remember watching.
I do think they should have included “Mouse Davis” who installed the innovative “run and shoot” at Portland State in the late 1970’s with Neil Lomax at QB and with the USFL’s Houston Gamblers who were led by Jim Kelly.
