Pittsburgh at Chicago -135 O/U 5.5
Two of the NHL's best teams hook-up at the "Madhouse on Madison" tonight as the Chicago Blackhawks host the Pittsburgh Penguins. Chicago has been one of the hottest teams in the league right now, winning nine of its last 10 and quickly catching up to rival Minnesota within the Central Division standings. The Blackhawks have scored three or more goals in 11 of their last 14 games overall, with 30+ shots on goal in eight of their last nine. The superstar duo of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews has been electric over the last 10 games, scoring a combined 16 goals and 18 assists with each skater recording a hat trick in back-to-back contests. Linemates Richard Panik and Nick Schmaltz have also scored eight goals and 13 assists combined in their last 10 contests. For Pittsburgh, it will be playing on the back end of a two-night swing after blowing a two-goal lead and losing 3-2 to Dallas. The Pens are 4-6 in the second leg of back-to-back games this season, and despite earning points in seven of their last nine road games heading into Tuesday night's action, Pittsburgh has been dealing with some injuries of late, most notably missing star defenseman Kris Letang and forward Conor Sheary. Chicago has won seven of their last 10 meeting with the Penguins, including four straight. Backup goaltender Scott Darling will be between the pipes for the Hawks, as Corey Crawford sits out with illness. The 28-year old Lemont, IL native has won five of his last six starts and is second in the NHL in save percentage with a .929 mark. Look for Chicago to keep its hot roll going as they attempt to overtake Minnesota for the top spot in the Central Division.
