weekend against Atlanta. Seneca Wallace filled into for Delhomme and did a marvelous job at being decidedly mediocre. Keep note however that over Delhomme's last 12 games dating back to last season, he's thrown 20 interceptions and only nine touchdowns in 364 attempts. For his career, Wallace has attempted 641 passes but has only thrown 16 interceptions. So while Delhomme has more ability for a bigger passing day, he also is much more prone to pooping the bed.
"He [Delhomme] should practice on Wednesday, coach Eric Mangini said Monday. "I thought we had a really good chance [against the Bengals]. I want to see with a bigger load how he responds. That's where we are on Monday. Hopefully we'll be saying the same thing on Thursday."
