Heading into this year, the Detroit Lions were the epitome of a team to bet against. Fade the Lions from 2006-09 and you won around 62% (39-24-1) of your bets. This year however, the Lions truly went from rages to riches as they
record. But not only did they cover pointspreads, Detroit posted four straight outright victories to close the season, including back-to-back roadies.
"The Lions are a team that bears watching going into the off-season," Caesars Palace sports analyst Todd Fuhrman said. "They've managed to play well with a hodgepodge of quarterbacks, and if [2009 No. 1 draft pick] Matthew Stafford can stay healthy, next season they can contend for their division."
