What would a football weekend be like without some sort of pointstread conspiracy? With a little more than a minute to go in yesterday's
Green Bay-Chicago game, the Packers held a 27-17 lead and were preparing to punt. During the return, the Bears pulled out a fabulous trick where Devin Hester acted as if he were fielding a fair catch when in fact the ball was on the other side of the field, of which Johhny Knox caught the punt and stormed down the field for a touchdown. From a betting perspective, this was great news for bettors holding Chicago tickets (+4, +4.5, or +5) and/or the over (45.5). Unfortunately, during the return, there was a holding penalty – one that a lot of folks viewed as being completely phantom.
