Super Bowl XLVI Gambling: Average ticket selling for just under three dimes

SportsMemo.com blog entry.
Happen to have an extra 605K laying around? Why not spring for a luxury suite at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis. According to this article, ticket prices are actually down from last year which I find surprising.  Ticket brokers have to be pleased with the marquee matchup – Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh would have dropped ticket prices at least $500.  Thus far, New York and New Jersey buyers have outnumber those from the New England area. Add in the host city’s hatred for the Patriots and it could be a fairly pro-Giants crowd.

The cheapest seat sold so far on Ticket Exchange, the NFL's official resale site run by IAC/InterActiveCorp. unit Ticketmaster, is $2,614 in Section 422 in the upper corner, while the highest price paid was $17,048 on the 40-yard line.
