There isn't a lot to like about Alex Rodriguez but you gotta admit, the guy has balls. Amid all of the high stakes poker gossip, A-Rod was
in a Pennsylvania casino. True to form, a waitress referred to A-Rod as a "dumbass" after a brief chat. In his defense, showing up at a casino, even if he gambled, is perfectly fine. But that isn't the general consensus with Major League Baseball which went so far as to inquire poker pro Phil Hellmuth about a "player" who participated in a poker game. Phil then took the time to justifiably
out on his Twitter account.
"He said something so stupid," said one waitress. "He said, 'I wonder if they have any good poker games here?' I mean, really? It's a casino! What a dumbass. He needs to take a page out of Derek Jeter's book of etiquette."
"Can U believe Major League Baseball investigators called me about a guy that PLAYED in a poker game: understand it's 100% legal to PLAY?!?" wrote Hellmuth. "Sick of athletes, politicians, and actors being persecuted for playing in poker games when it is 100% legal for them to play!! Sick of LIES!" added the 11-time WSOP bracelet winner.
