Breaking down the closing odds of Super Bowl XLV

02.07.2011     06:38 AM     Printer Friendly

If you were paying attention to your Sports Options screen prior to kickoff of Super Bowl XLV you probably noticed some varying opinions on the game. In the offshore world, virtually every sportsbook with any type of clout had Green Bay as a 3-point favorite. Some shops were dealing even money (reduced shops + money) but Grande and Bet Jamaica were offering your everyday -3 (-110). In Las Vegas, you had to work a little to get Pittsburgh +3 as most shops were content to hang Green Bay -2.5 with a little juice. The opinion on the total was also divided with offshore dealing 44.5 while the prevailing number in Vegas was 45.
