Georgia at Auburn -7 O/U 65.5
Sportsbooks, oddsmakers and the betting market are all in a tizzy over the current Cam Newton situation. Auburn opened as a 9.5-point favorite over Georgia with a lot of two-way action early in the week that had the line bouncing back and forth between -9 and -8.5. Then today, money poured in on Georgia, so much so that some sportsbooks are now dealing a flat -7 while others took the game
completely off the board until they hear more definitive news on Newton's situation.
Auburn head coach Gene Chizik says that his star quarterback
will indeed play but according to ESPN Dallas correspondent Ian Fitzimmons' Twitter account, Newton
will be suspended sometime today by the NCAA. But before you react, there is some confusion over whether or not the Twitter post was real or accurate. If Newton is indeed suspended, it will be interesting to see how the market reacts once the books repost the lines.
