Bradley vs. Loyola-Chicago -10.5 O/U 117
Not a lot of wiggle room playing a total of 117 under but tonight's Bradley-Loyola game doesn't project to feature much in the way of pace or offense. The two teams hooked up twice during the regular season and produced 107 points and 97 points. Bradley has one of the worst offenses in the country with an incredible 0.84 ppp mark (351st nationally). The Braves are also one of the youngest teams in the nation and virtually their entire rotation will be trying to put the ball in the bucket at the spacious and often times offensively unfriendly Scottrade Center for the very first time. Bradley showed some offensive life down the stretch but there were a number of essentially meaningless games that resulted in better than average offense and pace. Tonight's first round game will be a totally different environment. Loyola is a little more capable on the offensive end, but not by much. Last week, the Ramblers scored only 59 points in overtime in a loss to Drake who has by far the worst defense in the league. Note also that last year's MVC Tournament (10 games) produced an average of only 106 ppg. Add it all up and a play on under is warranted.
