The Citadel at Air Force -14.5 O/U 168.5
Even with the increase in scoring and pace, you don't see many college basketball games totaled above 165 -- unless The Citadel is involved. Head coach Duggar Baucom came over from VMI and instantly employed his crazy up-tempo scheme. The game scores have been very NBA-esque: 215, 187, 174, 185, and 169. And with the exception of Butler, the competition has been extremely weak meaning if Presbyterian can hang 95, why can't Air Force? In their "slowest" game of the season against USC Upstate, there were 74 possessions and both teams still hit 169 points. The Falcons have the rep of having a slow-paced, plodding offense but they've shown much more willingness to score on the offensive end. They scored 75 at Southern Illinois, 80 vs. Tennessee Tech and 70 on the road against Colorado. They've also played some low scoring games as well, but The Citadel is such an outlier that no matter what your philosophy is, there's going to be a lot of possessions and a ton of opportunity to score. In the comforts of home, the Falcons have a good shot at hitting the century mark which puts the over well within reach.
