Power conference tournaments get underway this week. Let’s take a quick look at each league’s future odds.
ACC - This year's tourney takes place at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. All 13 teams are in the first with the top four seeds (North Carolina, Florida State, Notre Dame, and Louisville) receiving byes to the quarterfinals. Top seed UNC is the betting favorite at +145 followed by Louisville (+270) and fifth seed Duke (+280).
PAC-12 - The league returns to Las Vegas but will play in the new T-Mobile Arena. Oregon is the top seed and the betting favorite at +125 followed by third seed UCLA (+140) and second seed Arizona (+210). The last three title games have featured a 1 vs. 2 matchup.
Big Ten - Oddly, the conference tournament will be held at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Top seed Purdue is the favorite at +145 followed by Wisconsin at +190. Perhaps a good league to take a shot with an underdog as half the league finished 12-6, 11-7 or 10-8.
Big XII - Per usual, the tournament will be held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City and Kansas is the top seed and favorite at even money. Third seed Baylor appears to have decent value at +450.
Big East - MSG hosts the Big East Tournament with defending National Champion Villanova favored at -130. Second seed Butler is +260 followed by Creighton at +300.
SEC - Betting markets not giving anyone outside of Kentucky (-125) and Florida (+140) a chance to cut down the nets at Nashville Bridgestone Arena. You can grab the remainder of the league at +1000 or better. In fact, half the SEC is +3000 or higher.
