Temple -3.5 at Ohio O/U 47.5
Big matchup in the MAC tonight as
Temple travels to Athens to take on Ohio. We’ve seen Temple (3-2 MAC) play some dominant football (see back-to-back shutout wins over Ball State and Buffalo) but other times, the offense bogs down and they really struggle (see blowout home loss to Toledo; ugly 13-10 loss at Bowling Green). So rather than run away with the East Division, tonight’s game at Ohio could very well determine who goes to the conference championship. Like Tempe, Ohio (2-2 MAC) has had some strong performances but also lost as favorites to Buffalo and Ball State. Last year, Ohio (+10) won in Philadelphia, 31-23. The Owls outgained the Bobcats 402-282 but had three turnovers.
Temple running back Bernard Pierce is listed as "probable" after tweaking his hamstring two weeks ago. He ran for 107 yards last week against Bowling Green but reports indicate that he was still in pain. He hasn't practice much but indicated that he will be
ready to play.
