Andrew Lange’s Betting Take: Nebraska has never been much of a "bet on" team laying big prices under Bo Pelini (8-12 ATS -10 or more). Last season they weren't even close in games against Idaho, South Dakota, Iowa State and Kansas. A lot of it appears to come down to focus. For example, after a few creampuff wins to open 2010, they go on the road for their Big XII opener laying double-digits and crush Kansas State 48-13. Late in the season, following a tough road loss at A&M, Nebraska needs a victory against Colorado to secure the North Division title. They end up winning 45-17 as 16.5-point favorites. This week's game against Fresno unfortunately doesn't have a lot of implications. There is a revenge game on deck against Washington and much of the mid-week talk has centered on getting up to speed with OC Tim Beck's offense. As for Fresno, they managed to keep the score respectable against Cal (36-21) but the Golden Bears dominated every facet of the game. Sophomore quarterback Derek Carr looked timid and the offense managed only 210 total yards. There is also that pesky betting trend to consider as Fresno has a long history of faltering following a SU loss (8-34-1 ATS since 2001, 3-13 ATS since 2007).

wasn’t too happy with the offense following last week’s 40-7 win over Chattanooga. FSU was forced to
shuffle its offensive line following an injury to starting center Richard Helepiko last week. Leslie Cooper will slide over from right guard and make his first career start at center while redshirt freshman Cody Wichmann moves into the starting lineup at guard.
