College Football Betting: Clemson miffed about being an underdog to Alabama

01.08.2016     08:28 AM     Printer Friendly

SportsMemo.com blog entry.
No matter what the sport, for title games and championships, the media likes to ask the underdog what it feels like to be, well, the underdog. According to one Clemson player, it's nothing new. Not that he should be able to rattle off the pointspread of every game this season but the Tigers were favored in every regular season game as well as the ACC Championship. He was correct in pointing out that the Tigers were dogs to Oklahoma in the last two meetings and obviously won outright.  Clemson is currently a +6.5/+7 underdog to Alabama for Monday’s CFB Championship.

“You go back to every big game we played this year, we were underdogs,” redshirt junior Travis Blanks said. “Notre Dame, Florida State, just go down the list. Some people picked us as an underdog in the ACC Championship against North Carolina. Oklahoma, this year and last year. It’s just all bologna.”
