Utah doesn't sound all that excited to be playing in the Las Vegas Bowl for the second straight year despite drawing in-state rival BYU. Head coach Kyle Whittingham felt his team
a more high profile bowl. Oregon, who the Utes crushed in Eugene, drew a berth in the Alamo Bowl vs. No. 11 TCU on January 2.
"We had the best record in the South, overall, and the second-best record in the conference overall — were tied with Oregon but we beat them head-to-head — so that being the case, and then being in the sixth bowl, that was, that was unique," he said. "So we'll leave it at that, I guess."
