College Football Handicapping: Texas A&M searches for postseason inspiration

Northwestern vs. Texas A&M -10 O/U 68.5

Texas A&M is searching for ways to offset the fact that it vastly underachieved this season and as a result essentially got their head coach fired because of countless second half meltdowns. The Aggies have dedicated Saturday’s Car Care Bowl matchup against Northwestern to the recent death of a teammate and former head coach Mike Sherman. Whatever gets you motivated, right?

"We want to memorialize him in the right way, and the way we do that is through practice and, come Saturday, we're going to do it by how we play," interim coach Tim DeRuyter said Wednesday.

"He brought us here as boys and made us men," said senior Cyrus Gray, the school's third all-time leading rusher. "We want to get this win for him and Joey V. We have a lot riding on this week."
