He takes over an MTSU offense that averaged 34 ppg last season behind then-freshman quarterback Brent Stockstill (4,005 yards, 30 TDs, 9 INTs). The Blue Raiders also return top receiver Richie James as well as four starting o-linemen.
“We’re good up the middle, we have our quarterbacks and receivers back," Stockstill said. “I like our offense, where we’re at, and we’re just going to have to improve from where we were last year.”
“You go from a normal drag-racing car to a top-fuel car,” he said with a laugh. “They’ll score fast and we as a defense might not be off the field that long. I’m very confident in them.”
