Hawaii at Louisiana Tech -3
No matter whom the opponent, Louisiana Tech (1-3 SU, 3-1 ATS) has made a habit of playing everyone close these days. Last Saturday was the fourth straight game that came down to the wire with Mississippi State sneaking away with a 26-20 OT victory in Starkville. The week before that, Tech blew a 34-7 lead and ended up losing to Houston 35-34. In Week 2, Tech needed overtime to beat Central Arkansas, 48-42. And to open the season, LT has a 17-16 lead over Southern Miss only to watch the Eagles hit the game-winning field goal with just over two minutes remaining.
Another potentially close affair this weekend with Louisiana Tech (-3) playing host to Hawaii. The Warriors put up a season-high 649 yards in last year's 41-21 win in Honolulu. Head coach Greg McMackin noted how
tough a trip it is to Ruston.
"I mean, there's no doubt about that," McMackin said on a Western Athletic Conference coaches' teleconference. "It is always tough to play in Ruston — and to get there."
