Las Vegas oddsmakers weigh on the pointspread for Sunday's Division Round matchup between the
. Green Bay opened as a 9-point favorite at CRIS but bet down to -7.5.
"It does seem a little high, given the fact that the Packers offensive line has had some issues," Rood said about the 9 points. "But that week off is huge and factors into that as well. Home field advantage there in Green Bay is as good as any."
"If anything, it might come down a tad," Rood said about the line. "I hung 8.5 as opposed to 9 out there. A lot of places had 9. I think the more educated players are probably going to look to the (under)dog in this series and bet them a little more. The two sides obviously have their following of fans that will bet them regardless of whatever the number is. But I think the professional handicapper is probably going to side with the dog or stay away from the game. I don’t think you will see too many professional handicappers laying 8.5 or 9 with Green Bay."
"A little has changed between these two teams since they played last, but not enough to account for roughly a 5.5- to 6-point swing, is what essentially you are seeing now.
"An 8-point number with Green Bay at home, what that says is that if the teams were to play in New York, they would be a 1- to 1.5-point favorite," Fuhrman said. "They were a 7-point favorite in early December."
