We spotted this seemingly random but noteworthy trend last season: Edison Volquez always seems to struggle in the first inning. Despite moving from Cincinnati to San Diego, Volquez is once again having difficulty getting through that first frame, allowing runs in two of his three starts. Bettors looking to take advantage can get creative with prop bets of "Will there be a run scored in the 1st inning?", "Total hits+runs+errors in 1st inning?", "Team winning after the 1st inning will be?" and "Which team will score first?".

1st inning career: 92.2 IP, 6.12 ERA, 17 HRs, .857 OPS
