Milwaukee (Guerra) +150 at Los Angeles (Kazmir) O/U 7.5
Milwaukee is not a good team by any stretch but there is still legitimate betting value to support them as underdogs here with Junior Guerra on the mound. Guerra has allowed three runs or less in five of his last six starts and Milwaukee has gone 6-2 in his eight starts since he joined the rotation -- including a perfect 3-0 on the road. Guerra has yielded five hits or less in five of his eight starts with opposing hitters batting just .230 against him. LA's lineup has been scuffling for the better part of the last week, scoring three runs or less in six of its last nine games and I think Guerra has the opportunity to give his team a chance to win with a solid outing. On the flip side, Scott Kazmir is coming off an outing against San Francisco in which control and command were a problem as he allowed five walks in as many innings. Kazmir has had his ups and downs and LA is just 6-7 in his 13 starts which makes laying these types of prices difficult. The spot for the Dodgers is not all that great either as they return home without a day off following a two-series, six-game road trip inside the division at San Francisco and Arizona. It’s worth noting closer Kenley Jansen threw 15 pitches yesterday and we’ve seen him struggle at times when pitching on back-to-back days in the past. Price and matchup right to support the road underdog.
