New York (Tanaka) -110 at Toronto (Sanchez) O/U 8
The Toronto Blue Jays will attempt to sweep the New York Yankees tonight in the series final. The team north of the border has won the past four meetings and taken six of seven overall. The recently hot Jays have also won five of the last six games Aaron Sanchez has started. The young righty who was a former 1st round draft pick has started to put it all together this year with a 3.29 ERA which is in line with a 3.24 FIP.. On the other side, Masahiro Tanaka has returned to his winning ways over his past two starts, posting a 0.64 ERA in 14 innings against the A's and Rays. He took a no-decision in a 3-2 win on April 12 at Toronto, allowing two runs in five innings. Both Sanchez and Tanaka have had previous success against the opposing lineups, including Sanchez’s performance on April 12th, going six innings and giving up only one run. Sanchez has also limited the opposition to three earned runs or fewer in eight of his 10 starts this season. Each starter projects favorably and with two of the best bullpens in baseball, runs should be at a premium. We’ll look to play this one under the total.
