MLB Handicapping: Turner Field has been a house of errors

04.22.2016     08:01 AM     Printer Friendly

SportsMemo.com blog entry.
Interesting situation in Atlanta as multiple players have complained about the poor shape of the field. This is the last season the Braves will play at Turner Field before moving to a new stadium in 2017. A quick look shows that in eight games, teams have committed a whopping 22 errors which has led to 11 unearned runs. Of those eight games, four went over the total, two went under, and two pushed based on the closing number.

"This is a tough infield," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. "You look at Dodger Stadium versus this field, and this field, the guys talk about it around the league that it is not the best infield as far as playing."
