UPDATE

New details released on Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan's resignation. Yahoo Sports reported that Sloan was having difficulty getting along with point guard Deron Williams and ownership. Sloan's longtime assistant Phil Johnson also resigned. Ty Corbin will take over as active coach.

“He decided right there in halftime that he was done,” a league source told Yahoo! Sports. “He felt like ownership was listening more to Williams than they were to him anymore. He was done.”

Breaking news out of Salt Lake City as Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan is expected to officially resign later this afternoon. Utah is in the midst of a 4-10 slide though remains in the thick of the Western Conference playoff hunt at 31-23. Sloan had been with the Jazz since 1988. Utah plays host to Phoenix on Friday.
