Phoenix at Orlando -13.5 O/U 215.5
Sometimes a write-up is better in graphic form. I’m going to open this write-up with a chart, detailing the Phoenix Suns on the road since their last road win – at Chicago on December 3rd.
That’s not just a bad track record. That’s an off-the-charts bad track record for a hopeless, injury riddled team that is now 3-30 SU in their last 33 games. It’s surely worth noting that MOST of the losses listed above came without the opponent even taking the Suns seriously, often resting starters against this sorry squad.
When the Suns meet adversity on the highway, they’ve done one thing consistently for the last three months – they crumble like a house of cards. With an interim, lame duck head coach in Earl Watson, it’s hard to picture a legitimate character change for the Suns in hostile environments down the stretch.
Scott Skiles Magic have notched double digit wins in each of their last two home games. They’ve got a West Coast road trip just ahead, starting in Golden State on Monday, beginning a stretch of nine road tilts in their next eleven games, creating a sense of urgency here for a team that is still very much in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff chase.
