So we meet again, 206. We've been tracking the totals market on the Dallas-Oklahoma series; through four games the numbers have ranged from 210.5 to 194.5. The first two games in the series went under by a combined 53 points. Games 3 and 4 then went over by 34 and 24 points, respectively. Oddsmakers and bettors don't know what to think considering not one game has landed within 20 points of the closing number. That brings us to tonight’s Game 5 which is currently being priced (205.5/206) the same as Game 1.
NBA Playoff Betting: Dallas-Oklahoma City totals continue to plummet
At this rate, Game 6 of the Dallas-Oklahoma City series will have a closing total of 155.5. After Game 1 went under by 27.5 points, last night's Game 2 -- even with a massive market adjustment -- trumped it by going under by 33.5 points. To recap, Game 1 opened 209, was bet up to 210.5, and closed 205.5. Game 2 opened 203.5 and closed 202.5. Trying to play catchup, oddsmakers opened Thursday's Game 3 198 and it was still bet under to 196.5. If that number holds, it will mark the lowest total of the season for an Oklahoma City game by two points (198.5 vs. Utah on 11/23).
