Nashville at Chicago O/U 5
Recommendation: Chicago -1.5 +210
The Chicago Blackhawks will battle their division rivals the Nashville Predators tonight at the United Center. The Blackhawks should be refocused and ready to take out some anger after Sunday's embarrassing 6-1 loss to Minnesota in the Stadium Series game held outside at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Despite losing three of their last four games at the "Madhouse on Madison", Chicago sports a stellar 22-7-2 overall home record. They also hold a 6-3-1 record against Central Division opponents including a pair of wins against Nashville this season. The Predators come into this contest winners of four of their last six games and 3-0-1 in their last four road games. Nashville currently holds the top Wild Card spot in the Western Conference with 69 points with fellow division foe Colorado trailing by only three points. These two teams always play each other tough, and while the Hawks have turned in some lackluster efforts since the All-Star Break, this club knows that they’ll have to bring their A-game versus a division rival. Chicago has covered the puck-line in six of their last nine home games as a favorite. We’ll look for that trend to continue as the spot suggests a big effort and a comfortable victory.
