Winnipeg at Dallas -180 O/U 5.5
The Winnipeg Jets are a team that knows their fate. They won’t making the playoffs this year and will be active sellers at next week’s trade deadline. As a result, we’ve seen a noticeable lack of intensity from this team which has really shown up at the defensive end of the ice in recent games. Winnipeg has surrendered an alarming 36 goals in their last 10 games including a pair of games against this potent Dallas Stars team in which they allowed 5 goals in each game with both contests flying over the total. I see no reason to expect anything dramatically different from Winnipeg tonight as they once again face the Dallas Stars tonight for the third time in their last 11 games. Dallas has the high flying offense with a roster littered with top end skill players that can put the puck in the net with five players on the team: Jason Spezza, Patrick Sharp, John Klingberg, Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn all having more than 40 points. However, the defense has been an issue for them most of the season but especially in recent games with the Stars allowing 16 goals in their last three games. Each of the last two meetings and five of the last six meetings between the Jets and Stars have soared up and over the total and I fully expect a similar result tonight.
