We would imagine that after a sentencing hearing, the guilty party is probably not in the best of moods. Alright, I'm already going to prison so I might as well give the judge the finger, tell my cheating ex-wife to go to hell, and rat out as many people as I can. The latter is what occurred when US Rep. John F. Tierney's brother-in-law was sentenced to three years for operating and illegal sportsbook. Daniel Eremian boasted that
and even watched a Red Sox game with the bookies. Hey, we're all for calling out dirty politicians but didn't Eremian spend a boatload of time denying everything? Now he’s saying Tierney was well aware of all of the illegal things that took place? Boy, this is a tough one. Do we believe the politician or the guy running a shady offshore sportsbook 98% of bettors have never even hear of? Seriously, this is a tough one.
“He knew everything that was going on,” said Daniel Eremian, whose sister, Patrice, is married to Tierney. “He sat in the boxes with bookies at Fenway Park.”
"It shocks and saddens me to learn that my brother would say something so utterly false about me and my husband in a moment of desperation and anger," Patrice Tierney said in a statement. She said her husband "has been nothing but supportive."
