Super Bowl Prop Bet: Rodgers vs. Roethlisberger first half passing yards

SportsMemo.com blog entry.
Roethlisberger vs. Rodgers first half passing yards
Recommendation: Rodgers -15.5 (-140 @ Greek)

It was no secret that with Green Bay’s injuries at the running back position that they would be forced to rely more on the pass this season. A common theme we have seen throughout the playoffs is for the Packers to come out passing while Pittsburgh tries to establish the run. The Packers have had some excellent game plans and effectively moved the ball primarily through the air in all three of their playoff games early – building up sizeable leads in the process. The Steelers on the other hand have not shown the desire to come out throwing and averaged 78 yards passing in the first half of both of their playoff contests. Green Bay also rarely if ever defers, so if they with the coin toss we can expect them to take the ball first and come out passing – which adds a little extra value to this wager.
