Q: Do I need cookies enabled on my browser?
SportsMemo.com uses a system of cookies to keep users logged in to the system. However, you do not need to have cookies enabled to view pages or log in. Browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer will help you stay logged in for a short time. After a period of time, the session will eventually expire if you are not actively using or navigating our pages.
Cookies are used to renew your sessions and save your password for later visits to the site. If you do not have cookies enabled, you will need to have your username and password handy. Most browsers have options to save passwords for you, but you may still be prompted for one if your session becomes inactive.
If you are having issues logging into the system, it may help to clear "stale" cookies and re-login.
Firefox Users: Cookies can be cleared by selecting TOOLS - > OPTIONS and then Privacy Tab. There you should see a SHOW COOKIES button. You can remove cookies from that menu.
Internet Explorer Users: Cookies can be cleared by selecting TOOLS - > Internet Options from the menu at the top, then General Tab. Press DELETE button to see a list of common items to remove from your browser like cookies.
Q: How do I get my guarantee if a play doesn't win?
You can call the office or view guarantee plays online. To view guarantees online, login with your username and password. Then click the “View Purchases” link and your guarantee plays will show up automatically when released by the handicapper. Guarantee plays are posted the following day. If no games are scheduled for that sport your guarantee play will be posted at the next available opportunity.
Q: Transaction or credit card failed to process, why?

Q: What is the SportsMemo rating system for plays?
We release and grade service plays on a simple one/two unit scale. A 20* designation with any play signifies a two-unit selection. All other service plays will be graded as one-unit. Two-unit simply implies you will double your normal bet. There is one exception to this one/two unit scale. Alatex Sports designates some CBB plays as 15* (one-and-a-half units). Each handicapper has a unique name for their double unit plays. They are as follows:

Q: Will I be bothered by phone calls from SportsMemo?
Sportsmemo is not a boiler room. We don't believe in high pressure sales tactics or annoying call backs. We will not record your phone number when you call and we will not call you back unless specifically requested to do so.

Q: How do the guarantees work?
Daily Service packages are guaranteed to produce a winning result. If one does not, you will receive the next report from the same sport and handicapper free of charge. Guarantees will continue until a winning selection is provided. Extended service packages are evaluated after the package has expired. If an extended package does not produce a winning result Sportsmemo may, at its discretion, extend service at no cost or offer discounted future service. No refunds will be issued for daily or extended package once service has been provided.
Q: Having trouble logging in?
Username/Password entry boxes are found in the upper left corner, directly under the Sportsmemo logo. Please make sure you are using the correct username/password. Both are case-sensitive. If you are succesfully logged in, you will see WELCOME message with your username instead of the boxes. If you continue to see the username/password boxes followed by a "GO" button, you are not logged in to the system. If you have entered the correct information and continue to have trouble, clearing cookies may solve you problem. See "Do I need cookies enabled on my browser?" for more info.
Q: What are the terms of use for the plays I buy?
Service plays are intended for private use by the purchasing client only. Posting plays on public forums and/or sharing with non-purchasers can result in a termination of service.
Q: What does it mean when a handicapper passes?
A "pass" indicates no selections will be made for that day/sport. Check back the next day for selections.
