I've created a line/total predictor for most sports and here are the numbers for this game. After looking into the game deeper I agree.
Away-- Minnesota Twins Carl Pavano -124
Home-- Kansas City Royals Bruce Chen
Projected Game Total 7.8
I've been tracking these totals and sides for awhile now and I'm comfortable with the numbers.
The most success I've had using the baseball numbers are finding the team that is -110 or better and playing that team regardless of line value. AFTER HANDICAPPING THE GAME.
I've also had success playing the total over or under when they agree with recent form. I prefer playing unders when the numbers/handicapping agrees. They've seemed to have had more success.
This thing isn't a magic click and pick wizard, it's only a tool to start your handicapping with. If something works over time, play it, if not fade it.
I just thought I'd share. I posted it awhile back and I've re-posted it because I thought it would help others and it may help me with tracking what does, and doesn't work. The more eyes and help I can get the better this thing can be.
