Kind of getting pretty popular this year. Put in a fantasy lineup, bet a certain wager and may the best team win. If you like fantasy sports and gambling you should check it out....

Been playing for 3 years at all the sites, there are 10 decent sized ones at this point. Fanduel is the worst game by far, they dont have snake draft capability and their player pricing and game concept leaves your edge at far less than at smarter places like draftstreet, draftzone, daily joust, etc. Not too mention fanduel charges the most rake, laying -125, while most other places are at -122, and draftday and buzzdraft are at -119.
Fanduel is simply the most popular because they got the most VC money and spent it on advertising, draftstreet is the best site, daily joust is gaining, other places are draftzone, fantasy feud, buzzdraft, draftday, profanity sport.
The best thing to happen to the industry is the 50/50 games which range in size from 4 to 100, where the top half get paid and the bottom half lose, good way to secure your edge against the squares.
Draftday has a game called hit it and split where they set a certain point score and all those that hit the score split the prize, so depending on how many people hit the score you can win a lot for a little entry fee.
Daily joust has a solo game where in the their NBA version you have to score 225 points, they will only let you enter $38 worth of games but on wednesdays, fridays and any other day where there are more than 8 games bein played they are just giving away money to anyone who knows how to use excel.

No problem. This is a growing industry and a good source of profits if you follow a certain league closely. Cantor gaming is set to launch or might have already launched a ripoff of this daily fantasy concept where you can choose a lineup and bet against the house. These places and the games they offer in theory will only get more profitable for the sharp player the more squares they attract through marketing and hopefully they bring their rake down once the industry grows to a certain point. Fanduel and draftstreet have got to be close to profitable already even with the massive advertising dollars they spend. The way to attract the most new players in my opinion is to bridge the gap between year long leagues which millions of people play to daily fantasy which is a strange concept to a lot of people, especially the salary cap games. Professional leagues should embrace daily fantasy sports as it leads to a much greater following of their sport, one of the many reasons the NFL reigns supreme.
