The UFC card tonight is UFC on Fox which is on regular Fox TV free, live from the Staples Center in L.A. The main card starts at 5pm PST. Of course the only straight bet that I made was on Travis Browne over Ben Rothwell, but Rothwell pulled out with an ankle injury. The rest of the card is weak and I cannot see the top three heavy favorites losing.
I've played a 3 teamer parlay, Shogun Rua -380, Lyoto Machida -340 onto Phil Davis -750, 2 units to win 1.7 units.
Rua is coming off a huge 5 rounder with Dan Henderson. He should have put him away and was actual embarrassed in losing that contest. Tonight he faces Brandon Vera who was kicked out of the UFC many years ago for failing to make weight and losing three fights in a row. Vera looked absolutely horrible at the weigh-in, fragile and loss of muscle mass, his forearms and biceps seem so thin, not a good sign he may have had to cut allot of weight late.
Machida has all the skills to beat just about any light-heavy-weight, he faces Ryan Bader who looks good from a body stand point but tires easily. He lost to the now retired Tito Ortiz and since then has won his last two fights over weak opponents.
Phil Davis is a wrestling machine, always in top shape and has the cardio to last for days. He is fighting Wagner Prado who nobody knows anything about this guy, he is undefeated but is making his UFC debut against a monster and hence the odds on this contest.
