I grabbed alot of -2.5 last night. UK game worked out well. Little surprised UK got back in that game but Joker has them playing well. Willie Taggart is real real good and so is his team. They love to compete. Win or Lose they want to compete. You don't see that in sports anymore. You can't run on WKU and when you throw they have some athletes in that back 7 hawking around. I like WKU, made me alot of $$$$. USM is -4 turnovers, averaged 3.9 and 4.2 ypp, 3.9 and 2.1 ypc, given up 8 sacks and are 0-2 SU ATS with a pair of double digit loses. If they fix things on the road with their young team, new co-ordinators, new HC, and cover 2.5 against the most physical non-BCS team in the country then CRIS, Betonline, and Heritage will make $$$ off me this week. WKU plays real football. They have complete control during games because they run and stop the run and are two athletic in that back 7 for teams to spread out and run their gimmicky bullshit without turning it over. A bit of new territory to be a favorite but this team has I think that stone has been turned.

COT = DEAD NUTS on WKU
I just looked over the Sun Belt -- they've had some good showings. With Troy down and FIU overrated, ULL, WKU, ASU, ULM on rise, NT a potential sleeper -- should be a good conf race.

The spot is a concern. How does WKU bounce back from the big time high of beating their SEC in-state rivals who crushed them in each of the last 3 years? That was a whopper of a win and I do want to get a gauge of this team's head before they play Southern Miss this week because if their heads aren't into Saturday's game, they might suffer a whopper of a loss.
If the Hilltoppers are focused and ready to play, they can easily win this game by margin based on what I've seen or more accurately what I haven't seen out of the Golden Eagles.

UK won 14-3 LY with WKU's Jakes missing 2 wide open TD passes. They pushed UK around LY and TY. WKU plays big boy football. They use multiple TE sets and FB's. They have the best talent in the Sun Belt. They have a QB that has turned into a leader. WKU will force turnovers and score on short fields. They will get leads, soften coverage and look to make teams have long drives. That will lead to teams putting up more yards but those teams won't ever control the game. Turnovers don't even out, they don't regress. Turnovers occur because defenses force offenses into either playing faster than they want to or doing something they shouldn't like when UK had to throw 60 times the other night. That is by design. They couldn't run so they threw and the 6'3 stud athlete Dowling (Florida transfer) that WKU has at Safety picked off 3 passes. I'm not some homer but I know what good football looks like. This isn't the cut the corners and trick people shit with high paced tempo and short screens. They block at the point, tackle you hard, and see if you can do that for 60 minutes. They have covered 12 straight games now with a QB that until this season could not give you anything with his arm. Its high quality SEC style football. Old school. Power ratings or any regression numbers aren't going to tell what this team is. Turn on the film and watch the body language of the players on the field in the 4th Quarter of that Alabama game. That will tell you all you need to know about the fight they bring. Bama was ready for the game to end. Real football is played in the trenches. Thats why the SEC always wins the championship. Its not about points, its not about total yards, its about having control of a game and that starts and end upfront. | Ian Cameron wrote on Mon, 17 September 2012 16:43 | The spot is a concern. Nobody bet this team, they're a fraud. Just getting lucky. They will lose 14 straight ATS so go play the other side. No value with WKU, fade em hard. They will regress to the mean
