Guarantee they never think twice of playing any kind of condensed schedule again in the NBA.
Every single night and some night's it's a whole new crop of players. There was a day last week that I thought this can't get any worse as some of the top players in the NBA were sitting out. Then last night comes around and here we go again as we have all sorts of top guys out and a few more who join the ranks later on right before or after the games start.
A part of me hates this but another part of me knows that if everything was constant and simple than it would be hard to find value, etc... So trying to decide if I still feel the same with my "I love this year's NBA" statement that I made a few weeks ago. Can't complain about the early results so far as maybe it's because of this mess that has helped make things more profitable (knock on wood).
Not sure either way but will say one thing, I don't leave my seat in front of my computer now from 3:30pm until 7:35pm pst every night as waiting to see the starting lineup's of every game has become a must in my daily routine.

The epidemic is just sick! Very tricky and it can be frustrating making a bet and then two hours later an injury goes against you out of the blue...
Tonight, Charlotte will be missing their top two scorers, The Nets perhaps a couple of key pieces, obviously Boston with Rondo and Allen. The Bucks game is Bogut and Deng, now Kevin Martin and injury out of the clouds, Wade and Melo, Jefferson and Dirk, Bargnani and Lawson. Sick, all pieces mentioned worth plenty from either a side/total perspective.
What's made this way tougher is trying to quantify the players taking the minutes for all the key cogs...

Dallas takes apart the Nuggets last night. The players once again talked about how hard it is to play their style of getting up and down the basketball court when they're so banged up. Karl is generally encouraging his players to push the pace, but in this lock out season one has to wonder if it's counterproductive. He's RUNNING his team into the ground!

| Martin wrote on Tue, 21 February 2012 09:14 | A balky thumb is going to sideline Elton Brand for a while. Reports suggest Nocioni will replace him in the lineup... and he's not played more than 10 minutes in any game this year.

That's a huge injury for the suddenly slumping Sixers, especially with Spencer Hawes still sitting. Lots of frontcourt minutes for Nocioni, Lavoy Allen and Nikola Vucevic, which cannot be a good thing for Doug Collins and company.
Worth noting Philly's dramatic ATS differential in short spread games (like their game at Memphis tonight) and the bigger spread games. When Philly has been lined between +4 and -4 (games that are expected to be competitive), the Sixers are 4-9 SU, 4-8-1 ATS. In all other games, Philly is 16-3 SU, 14-5 ATS. Now that's a dichotomy!!

Dirk might be back on the shelf for a little bit:

MEMPHIS -- This is that dark alley the Dallas Mavericks were trying to avoid.
Two games into their nine-games-in-12-days journey across the United States, the Mavs are already down 0-2.
One night after losing at home to the lowly New Jersey Nets, the Mavs flew into Memphis and got whacked upside the head by the Grizzlies, 96-85, Wednesday night at the FedEx Forum.
More importantly, the Mavs lost 11-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki for an unknown period of time. Nowitzki played just 9:39 and went to the locker room for good with 11:09 left in the first half with tightness in his lower back.
Without Nowitzki, the Mavs, who have lost four of their past five games, struggled to stay in the game and eventually wilted down the stretch for the second straight night.
"He had a back issue and he felt something in warmups and tried to play," Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said.
"He clearly wasn't moving the way he need to be moving, so we pulled the plug. So he'll get treatment and we'll see where we are Friday [in New Orleans]."

Gallo pointing towards a Monday return as the Nuggets are going to be dangerous in the second half.
Curry just upgraded to probable for the Warriors, after two low scoring games without him.
