Okay, lets get over what happened last night and get to the reality of what's going to happen tonight. Despite some questionable ball/strikes calls last night, R.A. Dickey is an amazing story and he deserves all the accolades that come his way. But this is another night.
Lets not forget how effective this Oriole team has been on the road this season supporting a 20-14 record against a New York Met team that is still 8-9 in the month of June.
The shiny play tonight would be Johan Santana, considering his no-hitter is probably still fresh in the public's mind, but the truth is Santana has not been sharp since. Santana has allowed 10 runs in 10 innings including his below average performance against Tampa on Thursday where he allowed 4 runs, 6 hits, and 4 BB overshadowed by the Mets 9-6 victory.
Let us also not forget that prior to last night the Mets had only scored 5 runs while getting swept by Cincinnati over the weekend.
Baltimore SS Roberto Andino will return tonight to the Oriole line-up
By The Numbers:
Baltimore is 17-5 while playing the second game of a series in their last 22 attempts.
New York Mets are only 5-12 in Santana's last 17 starts after their opponent had been held to 2 runs or less the previous night and they are 7-16 with Marty Foster behind home plate in their last 23 attempts.
Play: Baltimore Orioles +1.5 -160(MGM) 1 Unit over New York Mets
May be a tad high of a price for some but that's what I'm doing.
