That's amazing feedback my friend. Love all those numbers and points. As you may know, I really try to understand the mental state of a team or player rather than get caught up in numbers. I do like numbers but I don't let them dictate my opinion of a game. I like them better when they confirm a pattern of a team I may be leaning towards. At times I think we all get caught up in what we just saw, splits, last 5 games, how high a price may be, or who the starting pitcher is. As people we have better days than others and that's why I don't take a teams/starting pitchers splits or past as gospel. What numbers can't accurately portrait is intestinal fortitude that an individual or a team has. In simple terms, what kind of guts does a specific team or individual have. For instance, the Boston Bruins won last years Stanley Cup on guts and desire, this season they won games on skill which ultimately led them to a first round exit when they faced a Washington team who were just a little hungrier although statistically speaking the Bruins were a better team. A better example is this years Kings, NY Giants and last season's St.Louis Cardinals. All teams that won with a group of guys that owned a strong desire to be better than their actual skill level would sugge
Anyway, the point is that you could be right, its not the strongest opinion I've ever had. However, when I see a Phillies team come in 7-20, at home, against teams with a winning records, that tells me the gut factor is not there yet and you may be able to win with a dog who seems, if nothing else, resiliant. (20-8 following a loss).
Truth is I personally took the Pirates +1.5 -70 but didn't want to answer those, that's' too big of a number, emails.
Good luck to you as well sir.

It's great to deeply care about the record you put up... However, the answer is clearly your original post and it's not even a question...
