Gio Gonzalez is not on the radar of many incuding the books at this point even though he should be in the race for the National league Cy Young. While everyone is going Dickey.. I will just keep winning with the status Gio.
Since bing picked up this off season for pretty much a bag of ball when you equate the return so far Gonzalez while not as flashy as Starsburg is almost as good and certainly rock solid. 9-3 tr 11-3 1.05 whipe and 2.55 era. Gio also red hot on the highway 5-1 2.7 era 1.1 whip and 7-1 2.16 era .098 whip at night. Then factor in last 3 road starts 19.1 ip 15 er 4er 24-8 k/bb ratio.
Then you factor in Colorado who always plays well at home ok 16-21 is plain old OK.. Then you factor in the fluke last night of Franics pitching to 2007 form over stratusburg last night. I think there due for a let down. They send FRIEDrich well fried sounds about right last 3 starts in comfy coors field 15ip 38 baserunners 21ER. then you facor in 8 runs to the angels ok maybe but 12 br 5 er to hou and worse 8er 13 baserunners to the seattle mariners who can't hit there age most nights.

Gio gave up a couple of dinners but Friedrich lived up to his name and then that pen was a gift that kept on giving. Only tense moment was 3-3 but then 5th inning toocare of any doubt. 2/2 I will take any night.
