If we could only be as lucky to see him in a MLB uniform again... Hey Zen, if you're reading your boy Bobby Livingston is on the Skeeters roster as well. I didn't see anything about Brad Nelson...

Kazmir On Playing With The Skeeters
Share this article:
(on how it felt to get back to pitching)
“It was short and quick. It felt good to get back out there. It has been awhile. It has been a long time since I have gone out there and competed against hitters and tried to get through an inning. It has been around 13 months. It is good to get my feet wet again and hopefully I can build on that.”
(on if he was on a low pitch count)
“It was just for an inning. We are trying to get me acclimated pitching against hitters again. You can practice all you want, but once you are in that game situation and have that adrenaline going it is different. It is good that I got an inning in for now to get my feet wet and move forward.”
(on how he joined the Skeeters)
“I knew Gary Gaetti from the past. Knowing that the started an Atlantic League team here in Texas and with Sugar Land right next door, it was almost a no-brainer once I was trying to get back. I knew I could get some innings and get my feet wet here.”
(on his impressions of Constellation Field)
“It is a great ballpark. The competition is really good too. I was telling a lot of my former teammates that you are not going to find a stadium better than this especially in the minor leagues. This is very nice. The level of competition is up there with Triple A. This is a good spot for me. I’m excited.”
(on the cheers from the crowd)
“It felt good. I was in the dugout at the time getting ready. It feels good being able to play baseball in my back in my home town. It has been forever. It is a good feeling.”
(on if physical injuries were the reason he was released)
“No, physically I was healthy. It was just a matter of going back to the drawing board on pitching. I felt like I lost a little bit of my delivery. It wasn’t smooth and compact. The last four or five months I have been working on it. I have tried to get comfortable with my delivery again, feeling good about throwing strikes and getting the velocity back up there. It is still a work in progress, but I have made some big strides.”
(on how he feels where he is at now pitching)
“For being 13 months off and facing live hitters, I feel very confident to be able to throw strikes. I feel excited to be able to build off of that. Before when I was back in affiliated ball towards the end, it was tough to actually go out there and compete. You had no clue where it was going. I didn’t have anything behind it. Being able to go out there today, pitch the way I did and throw strikes it felt good. I had some velocity on them, a good slider and it was just one bad change-up that I left up. I’ll take that any day.”
(on what he is trying to accomplish with the Skeeters)
“Everything. Get back into the game for one thing. Getting comfortable out there on a daily basis, being able to be in the clubhouse and the whole baseball atmosphere, I feel like I needed that. It has been a long time that I have been out of the game. It feels good to be back here in the dugout and hanging with my teammates. I am just going to build every day to get better.’

Seems like a lifetime ago that he was thought of as such a stud.
