Word is the Wolves were willing to give up 3 first round picks to get this guy. Am I the only one that doesnt understand the NBA? If I were to compare it to the NFL, it would be like giving up 3 first rounders for a receiver that has averaged 700 yards and 4 TDs a season. Kahn seems like a real dummy anyhow but shit like this just drives me nuts. Dont really care for the NBA but nevertheless....

Batum fits into what the T-wolves are trying to do -- very athletic, can run the floor, play uptempo and defend well on the perimeter. But $46 million bucks isn't chump change, and he's playing a position that Minnesota just drafted Derrick Williams to play, with the #2 overall selection last year. As Bill Simmons likes to say, 'Khannnnnn' -- this isn't very moneyball-esque, and the Blazers -- who know him best -- weren't willing to go more than $5 mil a year on this guy.....
That being said, if the T-wolves don't reach the playoffs this year, Kevin Love is going to demand a trade and the team will be back to square one, so I can understand the urgency in getting Love some help right now.
