Will point to this game later in the season as closer Kenley Jansen, 1 strike away from a save, just took a nap and allowed San Diego to steal home, 2 runs, and a win LA should've banked. The work he did to dig out of a 1st & 3rd no out 9th inning situation winds up wasted and possibly very costly.
One of a number of blown saves today--allowing first and third with no out was the problem. There are closers who "have" to pitch themselves into trouble to get out of trouble--but sometimes you get bit.
Wow! I've been under the motto that there's no bad beats in baseball because you can point to instances in just about every game. However, that's a new way to lose a bet, and awful way.Follow Erin Rynning on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ersports1
Was watching the Dodgers feed so I had Vin Scully...would've liked to have heard the Padres...did Enberg give the play an "Oh my!"? It certainly deserved one...Scully was taken completely by surprise and couldn't convey any emotion while the play was happening.

The best part of it all was the fact that the umpire called him out at home after the ball had sailed to the backstop and never reached the catcher's glove.
