Not sure if this has been confirmed or just twitter rumors but there's a buzz that Melky has tested positive for PEDs and will be suspended 50 games.

Giants did not need that at all....huge boost for the Dodgers in the West and Pittsburgh & St. Louis in the Wild Card....have to figure the drug use was the reason for the career year posted by Melky

When he was overweight a couple years ago, I called him 'Milkshake' Cabrera, I guess it's another kind of milkshake now...

When Sandoval came back a few days ago, Tuesday marked the first time they had their new lineup together (Pence included & they scored 6 runs vs. Zimmerman & Nats relievers)...at least we got to see the lineup once.

Phillies faithful are figuring the team has to be in the off season free agent market for an OF and with so few good ones available most had their sights on Cabrera. The thought was that Hamilton, Bourne & Ellsbury are probably going to get more than Cabrera would. After yesterday's bombshell, that's obviously not going to happen. The PED admission led to a great line from a Philadelphia sports talk host this morning: "Let's face it, Melky without the juice is John Mayberry Jr".
