It'll be interesting to see how much of, if any of their "Baylor" spread offense Wshington chooses to show this week. There had been plenty of reports out there about Baylor practicing it fairly extensively to get in sync with the the new packages but heard Chris Cooley say in an interview the other day that they have to show some during preseason just because they have to practice it at game speed against another team. Would figure to catch Chicago off guard a bit since they don't game plan for tonight's contest but just can't verify that Washington will run it for a series or two here.
Don't think we'll be hearing RG III talking this week of how easy the game was or how practice was harder than the game. Bears got after him pretty good.If I'm Daniel Synder or Shanahan I'm getting someone in camp Monday morning to teach RG how to take the NFL hit better and protect their future. (What did they give, 3 #1's for him, wow) There was one play when he was scrambling and threw off his back leg as he was falling backwards. He left his ribs exposed and fell awkardly, could have got lit up if the Bear defender wanted to punish him. I'd be worried if I were a Redskin fan. The flip side was his speed and arm strength were real nice. He had one run where he turned the corner and made the Bear defenders look like they were standing still, quite impressive. (By the way Russell Wilson had 3 scrambling runs last night when I saw the same thing, albiet vs. the Bronco 2nd teamers). I think he'll be moving the chains for this team and keeping drives alive, should have an instant impact this yr particularly when they're catching some pts if he can survive that NFC East schedule
