Any love for Posey for MVP? Giants quietly 12th in MLB in runs scored, Posey drives in 100 RBI. He's the first catcher since Javy Lopez in 2003 to accomplish the feat. He's the first Giants player since Barry Bonds to accomplish the feat (back in 2004).
Posey ranks 3rd in NL in average and OPS, 4th in RBI, hit over 20 HRs.

Interesting question. In most years I would say no. McCutchen has him in most categories, but with the Pirates drop off there may be a chance.
Braun should win it, but will the voters take the PED situation into consideration with their vote?

I was looking at Slugging and OPS in addition to HR when speaking of "most" categories.

If this result holds, what an amazing series collapse by the Reds.

It would be a collapse, but I would stop short of calling it amazing since they really haven't deserved to win any of the home games to this point nor did it look like they had a win in hand.
I would say Oakland is a far more significant comeback if that happens despite the fact that they are playing at home (would have to beat better pitching and required big 9th inning rally at least once).

We will agree to disagree on this one. They were moderate favourites in each game and arguably had the worse pitcher in all 3. There is no question it is on it's way to a collapse ... I just don't think that it is all that amazing considering past MLB playoff collapses.
And on the Posey note ... throwing out Bruce will quiet the crowd.
