Here's a few smaller bets of mine in NCAA Tournament action today.

Virginia Tech +5.5 (715)
Bucknell +13 (719)
MTSU -1 (733)

Tom Crean fired at Indiana. How about the timing? Announced right as the NCAA Tournament tips off!

No surprise but without Colson, I can't tell the difference between Princeton and Notre Dame.

Surprise... Virginia having a tough time scoring, down 15-11 half way through the 1st half

Early pressure on the Cavs. 23-11 UNCW just past the midway mark of the first half. Big deficits are not Virginia's thing because it will force Virginia to actually god forbid...score!

Part of it is self inflicted -- I understand wanting to go 4 corners vs. UNC and some of the elites of the ACC. But when you purposely not taking UNCW off the dribble and looking to score because it goes against their archaic offense, well, that's just not smart, man.

Good response by UVA going into half finally stepping out on the perimeter with their D and starting to finally get tough inside with Wilmington. They've got the momentum and a 30-29 lead at Halftime.

Jeeze and I thought Ken pom had it low, projecting 60

Virginia really is torturing themselves offensively with 4 missed lay ups in first 8 mins of 2H

Looking ahead to tomorrows card.. Kent St won 9 of their L 10 games of the season- 8 of those games they were trailing at halftime... Def looking to bet the Flashes 2 half

Mountaineers getting all kind of good looks against a Bucknell squad that looks a notch or two overmatched, just took a small taste of West Virginia in-game....

Lange was 100% right on today's podcast (at least early on) -- East Tennessee State isn't intimidated in the slightest against Florida. Turnover problems may be an issue, and fouls certainly have in the early going, but this is no mismatch, just as the pointspread told us it wouldn't be.....

Chris Webber & Matthew Fischer-Davis now linked together forever in history

I was wondering how good St. Mary's was going into tonight's game not overly being tested but good win for them against VCU tonight. Jock Landale against some of those Arizona bigs will be a good matchup in the next round assuming North Dakota doesn't pull off the unthinkable.

I don't get to see a lot of MAC basketball, but Akron looked really good in a potentially flat spot at Houston -- won outright at +8 dogs. Cougars are solid and Akron went toe-to-toe. Kent State took 2 of 3 against Akron. Far tougher beast in UCLA, but perhaps a sign.
