On the difference between his last 2 QB's at Cal...Jared Goff & Davis Webb:

Asked to compare his last two QBs, Dykes said it was mostly about experience.

Davis is probably physically ahead of Jared. Hes very strong. Hes been in the weight room a long time. Hes older than Jared coming out, Dykes said. The thing that separates Davis is his competitive nature, the way he works and prepares.

He watches more film than anybody Ive been around and is maybe the most competitive person Ive ever been around. Hes one of those guys that doesnt like anything except football. He just wants to play and coach eventually. He puts all his time and energy into it. I think its a great situation for him. He doesnt have to go in an start right now.
