Game: Kent v. Ohio U Selection: Kent +2 Situational - This is a battle of 1-5 teams whose only wins this year have come against I-AA schools.
Fundamental - The Bobcats’ spread offense has yet to put together four consecutive quarters of quality football and their defense has routinely been run over. It’s a difficult matchup here against a Kent State offense that averages over 200 yards rushing per game.
Game Notes - Eugene Jarvis’ ankle kept him out of last week’s contest and he is still listed as questionable this week.
Final Take - Two poor defensive units in this matchup so we have to look for small edges. We think we get them with the home field advantage and the fact that despite Jarvis’ absence the Kent State offense continues to run effectively. OU just hasn’t been consistent enough to win and we don’t think they’ll start this week.
